We bought our present house nearly 3 years ago and it was in 2 separate blocks having been used by the Italian owners as a holiday home. Studio Troiano was recommended to us by a friend who had had work done by them and we had various work done over a period of time. The main work was to turn the smaller block, used previously as a kitchen/dining room, into a guest room for visitors and b & b. We were impressed with the standard of workmanship of Fulvio’s builders and with the standard of co-operation maintained throughout the works. We found that, although our Italian and Fulvio’s English were very basic at the time, we were able to communicate our ideas to him and end up with the room we had envisaged at the start.
I expect you know already that the profession of “geometra” is unique to Italy and incorporates various disciplines, including a working knowledge of the building laws and regulations which, I have to say, are not easy to deal with here and would have been a real obstacle for us if we had tried to ” go it alone ” without a geometra, as we have heard people try to do.
We were actually living here while the work was being done as it did not involve our main residence and can confirm that Fulvio was here nearly every day during the project to oversee the work and iron out any problems as they arose.
We also had work done by Studio Troiano regarding the installation of our swimming pool and, again, were pleased with the result – any delays being due to changes in regulations and the weather.
In summary, I can only say that we would not hesitate to use Studio Troiano again and, in fact, are hoping to do just that as soon as the new building law regarding extensions is clarified. Best wishes, June & Paul Geoghegan.

We have been very happy with Fulvios work. He has always been very co-operative and always kept me informed about everything that was happening with the building work. We asked him to undertake a very big project in converting an old attic into a beautiful apartment and he used extremely good builders who did a magnificent job. He also came up with some ideas which we hadn’t thought of, so he gets involved in the planning too. From a technical point of view he has very good knowledge too. As well as a good service at the time, he has also helped us after the renovation with advice and assistance where we need it.  Financially he was very reasonable and acts legally and correctly. Overall we were very happy with his work and do not hesitate to recommend him to you.

I am very pleased to give the following comments. We started using Fulvio in 2006 to renovate what was a damp and tired old attic space with no gas, plumbing or water into what is now a magnificent 2 bed apartment. The work carried out was to an incredibly high standard and at a very reasonable cost. Fulvio was always very hands on – eg he gave some helpful advice regarding layout of the bathroom and additional en suite shower room (my original design only had one bathroom) and by suggesting sliding doors. You can see what the flat looks like now if you look at Holiday Lettings website property number 25456. If you compare that to what we first looked at from the attached photo it will give you an idea of the scale of the project in terms of getting utilites up to the attic and also in exposing the beautiful brickwork and putting the floor tiles in etc. A great deal of care and detail went into the renovation and we are very proud of our little piece of Italy. He has been very professional, very easy to work with and extremely helpful. In terms of after care Fulvio continues to be very helpful to us now, 3 years after the work was finished, and we have no hesitation recommending him. Mark Smith
